Cristian BEVACQUA

Cristian BEVACQUA works as Country Relationship Manager for Morocco, Tunisia and Senegal for Oxfam Italy where he also plays the role of Advisor on Youth and Employment. Cristian has a strong inter-disciplinary background and 12 years of professional experience spent between Europe and Africa as program manager, microfinance advisor and consultant. Before joining Oxfam Italy, he has worked for private companies specialized in microfinance (Microfinanza Srl, Microfinanza Rating, Un Raggio di Luce Foundation) and for the Italian Agency for Development and Cooperation (AICS). Key qualifications include: (i) Project management and design: substantial experience in designing and coordinating development projects focusing on SMEs’ support and financial inclusion in Africa and in the MENA region. Demonstrated capacity to draft successful project proposals for a wide range of public and private donors. Advisory services in microfinance: substantial experience in setting-up funding mechanisms and provide technical assistance services to microfinance institutions in developing countries and in Italy. Market studies and research: design of structured surveys and market researches.

Cristian got two advanced master degrees in Nonprofit Management and in Microfinance and in 2012 was certified as International Microfinance Expert by the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
